Infancy: In the infancy stage they grow up very rapidly, and they go through different kinds of social/emotional milestones. Separation anxiety is one of the emotional milestones that an infant goes through. According to Honig and Wittmer (2017) “Separation anxiety starts anywhere between eight to ten months and often peaks between fifteen and eighteen months” (p. 2). Attachment formation is another milestone that an infant goes through. By the age of one they stay near their attachment person and when feeling any type of emotion will directly to that person.
